I Heart Faces - Pet Faces!

This week's theme at I heart Faces is "Pet Faces" and I knew right away what photo I wanted to enter! My 5 year old daughter had been asking for a puppy for over a year and a few months ago we decided to surprise her with a yorkie! We tied a big pink bow around it's collar and put it inside a giant pink box and told my daughter we had a surprise for her! It was a day I will never forget and I will always remember the HUGE smile on her face when she opened up the box to see her little Pixie June (she came up with the name all by herself!) This was taken just a few days after during one of the MANY hugs she gave Pixie during the day! They are just the cutest little pair and the best of friends!

Rock the Shot - Kids + Fall!

The October photo challenge over at www.rocktheshotforum.com is Kids + Fall! I thought this picture of my daughter fit the category perfectly :) Where we live, we don't get to see the pretty fall colors like most people do, so I had to buy some fake fall leaves and scatter them around our local park so we could pretend lol!
